The administration of the National Teaching, NTC has decided to move the date of the 2023 Licensure Examination for new applicants, and they have published the new date. Candidates who had previously taken and passed the GTLE or who had graduated from high school in 2021 or before were eligible to take the GTLE II in 2022. Candidates who are associated with the traditional GTLE (that is, Numeracy, Literacy, and Essential Professional Skills) have been given three opportunities by the Council to redeem themselves as a result of the GTLE reforms that will be implemented this year.

These opportunities are Numeracy, Literacy, and Essential Professional Skills. One of the three opportunities will be presented in 2022 at the GTLE II test; the other two will be held during current year, 2023. After these three opportunities, there will no longer be a test for the standard subjects beginning in 2024 and continuing beyond.

In the years 2024 and beyond, previous GTLE candidates who are interested in retaking the exam will be required to begin the process all over again in accordance with the new GTLE administration. NTC Announces Date To Conduct 2023 Licensure Examination Check Now

A total of 14,442 individuals signed up to take the GTLE II in 2022, and they did so in either one, two, or all three of the following categories: numeracy, literacy, essential skills, and professional skills. 7,743 of the total number of applicants were first-time test takers who were participating in the examinations for the first time, and 6,699 of the candidates were repeat participants.

The preparations for the implementation of the expected changes, which comprise Subject-Based Tests (SBT) and Computer-Based Tests, are far along in their respective stages (CBT).
