When negotiations for working conditions begin, elements like as inflation, taxes, and the cost of living will be severely considered, according to Joshua Ansah, deputy secretary general of the Ghana Trades Union Congress (TUC), who believes this will be done in order to safeguard the rights of Ghanaian workers.

According to what he said, given that the TUC’s suggestion that the government should pass the three laws was not followed, the TUC would carefully examine what the taxes generated by the altered bills will be utilized for in order to ensure that they are not wasted.

He issued a stern warning: “This time round we are not going to sit down and fold our arms. We are going to monitor what they use the taxes for so that we will hold them accountable for what they use our monies for.”
