The Asankragwa Magistrate Court has remanded two instructors from the Asankragwa Senior High Institution after they were accused of raping and abusing two first-year pupils at the school.
According to Ahobrasea FM’s Captain Kofi Takyi, who was in court and whose interview with Connect FM was monitored by GhanaMediaOnline, he stated that the suspect Ernest Donkor was charged with rape, contrary to Section 97 of the Criminal Offences Act (29/60), and that the suspect Augustine Swanzy Oduro was also charged with Indecent Assault, contrary to Section 203 of the Criminal Offences Act (29/60). The victims, ages 15 and 16, who are first-year students at the same school were assaulted by two teachers at the institution: Ernest Donkor, age 28, who teaches physics, and Augustine Swanzy Oduro, age 34, who teaches history. The names of the victims have been suppressed.

On Thursday, July 14, while the Amenfi West Municipal Inter-School competition was being held at the Asankrangwa Senior High School, the two suspects took the victims out of the school premises and bought new dresses for them to wear so that they could take them out to celebrate one of the victim’s birthdays. The competition was held at the Asankrangwa Senior High School.
Around 2:00 o’clock the same day, the suspects made reservations at a hotel in the Wassa Dunkwa neighborhood, which is located close to Asankrangwa. The two suspects went out and purchased a drink for the victims, maybe a Malta Guinness.
In an effort to have a conversation with the 16-year-old victim, suspect Ernest Donkor took her to a room at the hotel, and in an effort to have a conversation with the 15-year-old victim, suspect Augustine Swanzy Oduro also took her to a room at the hotel. Both of these suspects were attempting to have a conversation with the victims.
During the course of the talk, the victim, who was 16 years old at the time, excused herself to use the restroom and left her Malta Guinness drink with the suspect, Ernest Donkor, who was still in the room.
After using the restroom, the victim returned to find that after drinking the Malta Guinness drink, they had become lightheaded and passed out. Two Teacher Remanded For Raping 2 Students
She eventually came to and saw that she was lying on the bed n@ked with blood marks in between her th!ghs. This was when she regained awareness.

When the victim, who was just 15 years old at the time, was in the room, the suspect, Augustine Swanzy Oduro, had sexual physical touches with her by petting her breasts and stroking her buttocks. The victim was able to escape the room, and the two suspects subsequently took the other victim and themselves back to the school grounds.
On the way to the university, the defendant, Ernest Donkor, made a promise to the victim, a 16-year-old girl, that he would purchase her an iPhone 7plus, pizza, and food. He also told them not to tell anybody about what had transpired at the hotel.
The event was reported to the Assistant Headmaster, who is the complainant, in the evening of the same day that it occurred by the victims.
On July 15th, the complainant, along with the victims, and with the aid of police, detained the suspects and brought them to the Asankrangwa Police Station, where they filed a report about the incident.
The complainant, who is an adult, was given medical documents to fill out by the police on behalf of the 16-year-old victim, who was instructed to go to the hospital for a medical examination.
